In my opinion, these are some of the best barrels on the market. Their quality is second to none and they shoot great.

I am looking into getting a new barrel and it's betwenn DS, stiffi, sly and the invert nightstick I want fiber but I have been told most of these barrels preform similar. any input? It will be going on my g3 and I think I would rather overbore with a 1 piece than do a 2 piece with the backs and bore matching. Any suggestions ?

u can always over bore with a two piece which ithink is better to get a two piece so that you dont have to buy a whole new barrel if you want to use a smaller or bigger size bore

Hey good buddy! Nice to see you on a forum outside our state! But to take back our previous statements at Skynet, no, these barrels suck. At first, their hype was phenomenal. However, as for their performance, they didn't stand. In weight, they are mere grams away from the Sly and Stiffi's. I personally am a barrel fiend. I have owned every barrel in existence for my Ego. Stock, SL kit, J&J Ceramic, Night Stick, Evil Pipe kit, Empire kits, Stiffi Mamba AND Stiffi Switch kits, Sly straight one piece, Sly 14" with 4 backs, Sly's new ProMerc-Diesel, DW Fibur, SmartParts Freak Kit... and of course the DeathStix. I think I missed a few, but not memorable enough to mention. IMHO, the two best barrels on the market are the Stiffi and the Sly. The DeathStix tries to compete with these two big names. But one barrel break (pick a reason, I've encountered many in my 3 months of owning the DeathStix already) and you're out of commission unless you can get some warm water running through the barrel to properly clean it out. A snake and/or squeegee will only make it look clean internally, but it's performance will still cause your balls to go awry. I will give the DeathStix one praise; They look cool and the "Kill > > >" at the barrel tip is pretty funny.

As some of you asked on the performance of the Stiffi vs Sly, here you go. As for barrels, the best barrel I've found to work would be the Sly barrel. Stiffi's and Sly's are similar in performance and construction (and almost in cost). Both are carbon fiber barrels and, because of this, make it insanely light. I would lean more towards the Sly because there is one major difference between the two. If/when you get a barrel break, you have to take the whole barrel off of a Stiffi and you can only use a pull-through style barrel cleaner (a snake). You CANNOT use a swab for two reasons. 1) The fine fibers will actually scuff the interior of the barrel 2) It'll void the warranty on the Stiffi. Don't even ask about the microfiber swabs. They'll do the same thing (warranty wise). For the Sly, you can use any type of barrel cleaning device and it won't void the warranty. The Sly is also designed to allow you to "shoot-through" a barrel break. Meaning, if you had a barrel break and paint splattered all inside, you would/should be able to shoot a few shots through and clean out the barrel that way (all depending on how badly it's gunked up of course). Both barrel systems allow for different barrel backs so you can change the barrel breech sizing. So long as you get the right back insert put on the Stiffi, you won't have to worry about barrel breaks. But just keep in mind that breaks are a paintball inevitability.
